‘Lusaka to Mansa’ is visual documentation of subjects met whilst traveling From the capital city of Zambia ‘Lusaka’ to a district named ‘Mansa’. This was a trip taken to my home country, after leaving to live in England at the age of 8.  Traveling about 470 km over a period of a week in the last days of December 2014 to the early days of January 2015. The objective of this visit was to meet up with relatives I had not seen in a very long time, a few I had no recollection of and wanted to see how familiar I was with the environment I had spent the initial part of my life in.

I worked on this project whilst undertaking residency for Cape town month of photography. During my stay, I was mentored by Jenny Altschuler.

This book was exhibited in 2015 in the Richard Hamilton Building at Oxford Brookes University.
